Central Bank announces KKM decision and sets a date: Number of meetings reduced
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has announced that the Monetary Policy Committee will hold 8 meetings next year and that the 2025 meeting and report calendar will be published within 5 business days. According to the statement from the CBRT, the KKM scheme is planned to be terminated in 2025.

A floating exchange rate regime will be maintained in 2025.
The exchange rate will continue to be determined under free market conditions.
The Central Bank will not engage in foreign exchange buying or selling operations to determine the exchange rate regime.
