Centuries-old inn passes to Koç Holding

A notable development has occurred regarding Pilavoğlu Inn, one of the historical structures in Ankara. It has been learned that the majority shares of the inn, which is estimated to have been built between the 16th and 17th centuries, have been transferred to Koç Holding.

AGREEMENT REACHED FOR TRANSFER

According to the information obtained, an agreement was reached between the current operator, Mustafa Koçer, and the Koç Group regarding the transfer of the majority shares of Pilavoğlu Inn. Following the agreement, a significant change took place in the ownership structure of the inn.

RESTORATION PREPARATIONS

In the report featured in Sözcü, it was stated that there are plans to place Pilavoğlu Inn, where approximately 50 businesses currently operate, under restoration once the transfer procedures are completed. No official information has been shared yet regarding the purpose for which the structure will be used after the restoration.

It was stated that the businesses located within the inn were informed as part of the sales agreement. Accordingly, it is expected that the businesses will vacate their shops within approximately 9 months.

SURROUNDING STRUCTURES ALSO TRANSFERRED

The report also included information that Koç Holding has recently acquired some structures located around Pilavoğlu Inn. Details regarding the scope of the transfers and the plans for these structures were not shared.
