CEO of gold giant and famous kebab restaurant owner arrested for establishing 'organized crime group'
A new development has occurred regarding the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which has been recorded as the last major operation of 2024.
Many individuals, including former CEO of Nadir Metal Rafineri AŞ Burak Yakın and owner of Fiko Ocakbaşı Fikret Aydoğdu, have been arrested as part of an 'organized crime group' investigation.
MANY PEOPLE ARRESTED
According to a report by Halktv, the judicial questioning of many individuals, including former CEO of Nadir Metal Rafineri AŞ Burak Yakın and owner of Fiko Ocakbaşı Fikret Aydoğdu, who were referred to the courthouse today, has concluded. Many people were arrested as part of the investigation.
CEO OF GOLD GIANT ARRESTED
Among those arrested was Burak Yakın, Chairman of the Board of Saygınlar Kıymetli Madenler AŞ, who also served as the President of the Jewelers Exporters Association. Nadir Metal, where Burak Yakın served as CEO for a long time, was on the list of Turkey's top 500 industrial enterprises with a turnover reaching 21 billion liras.
FAMOUS KEBAB RESTAURANT OWNER ALSO ARRESTED
Another individual arrested by the Istanbul Criminal Court of Peace was Fikret Aydoğdu, the owner of Fiko Ocakbaşı. The father of Aydoğdu, the owner of the famous brand known as the kebab restaurant of the high society, had previously made headlines due to a fight he had with Fatih Terim in Alaçatı, İzmir, in past years.
Behind the arrest of the two individuals was a complaint filed by a person alleging 'extortion'.
