Certain areas in Batman declared 'security zones'
Certain areas in the Gercüş district of Batman have been declared security zones.
In a statement issued by the Batman Governor's Office, it was stated that unauthorized entry by citizens into the temporary security zones declared within the area of responsibility of the Provincial Gendarmerie Command in the Gercüş district is prohibited for the sake of their life and property safety.
The statement noted that criminal proceedings will be initiated against those who do not comply with the ban in accordance with Article 66 of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442, and the following was recorded:
"The land sections remaining between the east of Yakaköy, Amaşema Hill, Korkabaniya Hill, Hanemir Hill, Bermika Hill in the north; the west of Guharamehir Hill, the west of Diyanigörgiş Hill, Ardabahli Hill, the west of Kernaraza Hill in the east; the north and northwest of Aydınca village, Hasanora Hill, the north of Dereiçi village, Berharame Hill in the south; and the north of the Kelkeşahmes ridges, the east of Bahrek Creek, the east of Guharaciyaka Hill, Miske Creek, and the east of Hanemir Hill in the west have been declared temporary military security zones between June 22 and July 6."
