Certain areas in İzmir removed from 'forest boundary' status
By the decision of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, certain areas in the Bayraklı district of İzmir have been removed from forest boundaries.
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette with the signature of Erdoğan, in accordance with Article 16 of the Forest Law No. 6831, certain areas in Bayraklı, İzmir, have been removed from forest boundaries.
According to the decision, the forest boundary status of an area within the borders of Bayraklı has been revoked.
The decision, which also includes maps, lists, boundaries, and coordinates, states that an area no less than twice the size of the land removed from forest boundaries will be allocated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (General Directorate of National Estate) to the General Directorate of Forestry for the purpose of establishing new forests, from lands under the authority and disposal of the state or in the private ownership of the Treasury.
