Chain-reaction accident in Malatya: 5 vehicles collided, traffic paralyzed
One person was injured in a chain-reaction accident involving 5 vehicles on the Malatya-Elazığ highway during the morning hours. Following the accident, a traffic queue of approximately 3 kilometers formed in the area, and the road was reopened to traffic after the vehicles were removed.
The accident occurred around 07:45 at the entrance of the underpass near the old Shire market on the Malatya-Elazığ highway. According to the information obtained, a Fiat-brand light commercial vehicle with license plate 44 AFS 309 driven by H.C., a car with license plate 06 EBE 549 driven by T.G., a light commercial vehicle with license plate 06 DEE 744 driven by H.Ş., a Volkswagen-brand minibus with license plate 44 AAV 473 driven by B.T., and a car with license plate 06 BZY 312 driven by S.Ç.K. collided.

Driver H.C. was injured in the accident. In the incident, which caused a 3-kilometer vehicle queue on the ring road, the injured person was taken to the hospital, and traffic returned to normal after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed.

An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
