Chain-reaction accident in Maltepe! 4 people injured
Rainfall on the Maltepe D-100 Highway caused slippery road conditions, leading an IETT bus to lose control and collide with a car and a minibus. 4 passengers on the bus were injured in the accident.
The accident occurred around 10:30 AM on the D-100 Highway in Istanbul's Maltepe district, in the direction of Kadıköy. According to reports, the IETT bus with license plate 34 PL 4451, driven by T.Ç., was unable to stop on the road, which had become slippery due to heavy rainfall, and first struck a Fiat-brand vehicle with license plate 35 JC 459, then a Mercedes-brand minibus with license plate 34 M 4711, before spinning in the opposite direction.

The impact of the collision caused the windows of the IETT bus to shatter. 4 passengers inside the bus were injured.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams provided initial treatment to the injured citizens inside the ambulance before transporting them to the hospital.

While police teams managed traffic flow in a controlled manner, an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
