The new dates for mandatory winter tires, which were previously required between December 1 and April 1, have been set as November 15 to April 15.

Thus, the mandatory winter tire period, which was 4 months, has been extended to 5 months.

Winter tires are mandatory for vehicles used for the transport of passengers and goods.

The new decision has entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

Drivers who do not install winter tires during the mandatory period are fined 5,856 TL, and the vehicle is not permitted to continue on the road.
