Change of trustee at Şişli Municipality
A change in administration has taken place at Şişli Municipality, which has been governed by a trustee following the arrest of Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan. Ayhan Terzi, who was appointed as Deputy Governor of Istanbul, has begun his duties as the Acting Mayor of Şişli.
The administration of Şişli Municipality, which had been under trustee management following the arrest of Resul Emrah Şahan on March 23, 2025, has changed.
It was reported that Ayhan Terzi, who served as the District Governor of Mudanya, was appointed as the Deputy Governor of Istanbul yesterday and was assigned as the Acting Mayor of Şişli today.
It was learned that Terzi arrived at the municipal building today and began his duties.
It was stated that Ertürkmen, who previously served as the trustee, will continue his duties as the District Governor of Şişli.
In a statement made by Şişli Municipality, it was noted that, "Mr. Ayhan Terzi, Deputy Governor of Istanbul, has begun his duties as the Acting Mayor of Şişli."
