ÇHD İstanbul Branch President Ezgi Önalan and many of her clients detained

The Progressive Lawyers Association (CHD) announced that its Istanbul Branch President, lawyer Ezgi Önalan, was detained during a police operation conducted at her home in the early hours of the morning. The association shared information that many of her clients were also detained in operations carried out simultaneously with the one targeting Önalan.

In a statement made on the CHD's social media account, it was noted that Önalan was detained following the operation at her home, and it was stated that information had been received that many of her clients were also detained at the same time.

In the association's post, it was stated, "Our Istanbul Branch President, lawyer Ezgi Önalan, was detained in a police operation conducted at her home in the early hours of the morning. We have received information that many of her clients were also detained simultaneously."

The statement continued with the following remarks: "End the political operations that promise a thornless rose garden to NATO."
