Chief inspector who played a key role in the Sinan Ateş investigation appointed to Adıyaman
Police Chief Inspector Arzum Nazman, who played a significant role in the Sinan Ateş assassination investigation, has been appointed as the Adıyaman Chief of Police.
With the change published in the Official Gazette on September 11 via a Presidential Decree, the police chiefs of 37 provinces were replaced. Within this scope, while the police chiefs of 22 provinces were reassigned to the headquarters, Arzum Nazman was appointed as the Adıyaman Chief of Police.

Nazman undertook critical duties during the first five months of the investigation into the murder of Sinan Ateş. In particular, she changed the direction of the investigation by giving the instruction for suspect Tolgahan Demirbaş to be taken from the home of the then-MHP Deputy Olcay Kılavuz.
Tolgahan Demirbaş, who was tried as an "instigator of the crime" in the Sinan Ateş assassination, was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "instigating premeditated murder."
