Chief Prosecutor and lawyer clash! Police intervene in 'official restroom' dispute
It is alleged that at the Kaş Courthouse, Chief Prosecutor Gökhan Feyzoğlu prevented lawyer Hakan Tüzen from using a restroom by stating, "This is for staff," and had him removed by police.
A 'restroom' dispute occurred between Chief Prosecutor Gökhan Feyzoğlu and lawyer Hakan Tüzen at the Kaş Courthouse.
As Lawyer Tüzen was walking toward the restroom, Feyzoğlu told him not to use it, saying, "This is a staff restroom." This led to an argument between Tüzen and Feyzoğlu.
The Chief Prosecutor's security detail removed Tüzen from the restroom. An official report was filed regarding the incident.
The incident took place today at approximately 16:50 at the Kaş Courthouse.
Hakan Tüzen, a lawyer practicing in the Kaş district of Antalya, took the key from the bar room and began walking toward the restroom. At that moment, Kaş Courthouse Chief Prosecutor Gökhan Feyzoğlu was also walking toward the restroom.
According to the report by Dinçer Gökçe from Halktv.com.tr, as lawyer Tüzen was about to open the door with the key in his hand, the Chief Prosecutor asked him to leave, saying, "Sir, this is a staff restroom. There is a restroom downstairs."
Tüzen replied, "I am also a lawyer. I am a Kaş lawyer."
The Chief Prosecutor said, "This is a staff restroom. You cannot use it," and demanded that he leave.
"I AM NOT ALLOWING YOU TO USE THIS RESTROOM"
Although Hakan Tüzen stated that they had been using the restroom, the 'crisis' could not be resolved. To Feyzoğlu, who said, "I am the Chief Prosecutor. I am not allowing you to use this restroom," Tüzen responded, "I am a lawyer and I have the right to use this restroom."
Lawyer Hakan Tüzen filed an official report regarding the events, signed by witnesses to the incident.
"I WILL DEAL WITH YOU"
According to the signed report, after taking the lawyer's name, the Chief Prosecutor said, "As the Chief Prosecutor, I will deal with you. You will see. Get out, you cannot use this place." Tüzen replied, "Do whatever you want to do."
FORCIBLY REMOVED FROM THE RESTROOM
At this point, Chief Prosecutor Feyzoğlu called over courthouse police officer G.Ç. and his security detail, S. The Chief Prosecutor instructed the police to remove lawyer Tüzen from the restroom. Although Tüzen stated he would not leave in response to this order, the police moved to remove him.
While police officer G.Ç. waited at the restroom door, the Chief Prosecutor's security detail, S, approached Tüzen and forcibly removed him from the restroom.
