The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the arrest of 7 individuals who were questioned as part of an investigation launched following allegations by Serdar Sertçelik, a fugitive defendant in the case regarding the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization, on charges of "conspiracy to commit a crime," "attempting to influence fair trial and witnesses," "misconduct in office," and "harboring a criminal."

The statement included the following:

"Following their statements at our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the 7 detained suspects have been referred to the Ankara Duty Magistrate Judge with a request for their arrest in accordance with Articles 277/1, 258/1, and 283/1 of the Turkish Penal Code. The processing of 1 suspect at the Police Department is ongoing."
