Chilling incident in Sarıyer: Note on trash container leads to body

The incident occurred yesterday at around 14:00 in the Bahçeköy Hunca area of Sarıyer.

According to allegations, citizens who went to collect water from a spring inside the Belgrade Forest notified the police after seeing a note on a roadside trash container that read, "body below, body."

Upon the report, police teams arrived at the scene and conducted a search in the wooded area. They found the body of a man approximately 300 meters away from the trash container. It was learned that the body, which had been thrown down a cliff and had no identification on it, was unrecognizable. With the help of fire department teams, the body was recovered from where it had been thrown and taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine morgue for identification and autopsy procedures.

A citizen named Arzu Özdemir said, "I had gone to get water a few days ago. I saw the note. Thinking it was written by children, I assumed it was a cat or some other animal carcass. I don't remember when I saw it. When I learned it was a human body, I remembered seeing the note. When the police cars arrived, we all went to the scene as a neighborhood."
