A dismembered male body was found in a refrigerator and a deep freezer in an apartment in Kırıkkale.
The landlord, C.Ç., called his tenant, M.S., after failing to collect rent. However, M.S.'s daughter, who answered the phone, said that her mother had died on May 3. Upon this, the landlord, who came to Kırıkkale from out of town, had the apartment door opened with the help of a locksmith. When he entered, he encountered a dismembered body placed in trash bags inside a refrigerator and a deep freezer. Bloodstains and a cleaver were also found in the house.

Initial investigations suggest that the body belongs to Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who was reported missing in 2014 and had not been heard from since. While it is estimated that the body had been kept in the freezer for a long time, 4 suspects have been detained in connection with the incident.
Lütfü Gümüşsoy, one of the apartment residents, said that they had never seen the tenant and had not encountered any suspicious situations such as odors. He stated that the landlord had mentioned receiving rent from time to time, which led them to believe that someone was living inside.
