CHP's Ali Mahir Başarır assesses 'market prices'
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, following his visit to the Keklik Neighborhood Market in Ankara, stated, "The cost of living and the struggle to make ends meet are the citizens' biggest complaints. While food inflation is falling worldwide, our people are struggling to fill their market bags; they cannot buy what they want, and they cannot eat what they crave."
Başarır listened to the complaints of citizens at the market. Citizens trying to do their shopping complained about the high cost of living and high prices.
Speaking privately with citizens, CHP's Ali Mahir Başarır evaluated his visit in a post on his X account with the following words:
"We were at the Keklik neighborhood market in Ankara. The cost of living and the struggle to make ends meet are the citizens' biggest complaints. While food inflation is falling worldwide, our people are struggling to fill their market bags; they cannot buy what they want, and they cannot eat what they crave. Those responsible for this cannot go out on the streets, but we are together with our people; we are on the streets, we are in the markets. We will change this order together!"
