CHP and İYİ Party MPs call for the abolition of interviews in teacher appointments
Some MPs from the CHP and İYİ Party made a statement in Parliament alongside a group of teacher candidates awaiting appointment.
İYİ Party Bursa MP Yüksel Selçuk Türkoğlu criticized the interview process applied in teacher appointments.
Calling for the cancellation of the interviews and appointments, and for appointments to be made based on KPSS scores, Türkoğlu said, "This is how consciences will be eased. These appointment and quota determination processes must be cancelled as soon as possible. Interview scores must be cancelled."
CHP Istanbul MP Suat Özçağdaş also stated that appointments should not be made based on interview scores, adding, "It is possible to resolve the grievances of teachers.
Carry out all their appointments immediately. If you do not cancel the interviews so that they are based on KPSS, then appoint all these teachers who have been treated unfairly in the interviews as an additional quota."
