CHP Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan reacts sharply to Sözcü TV: 'They kicked me out'

CHP Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan was a guest on the program Başkent Kulisleri, prepared and hosted by Saygı Öztürk on Sözcü TV.

After the commercial break, it was observed that Özcan was no longer on the live broadcast.

Making a statement on his social media account regarding the incident, Özcan said, "They told me it would last 1.5 hours. I stayed on the live broadcast for 25 minutes and they said, 'we are going to a commercial break.' During the break, without even letting me say goodbye, they politely kicked me out," he stated. 

Emphasizing that he would never appear on Sözcü TV again, Özcan praised the tv100 channel by saying, "I love tv100."

"A few days ago, upon the invitation of Mr. Saygı Öztürk, I set out from Bolu this evening and participated in the live broadcast on Sözcü TV. Before the program, they told me the broadcast would last 1.5 hours. I stayed on the live broadcast for 25 minutes and they said, 'we are going to a commercial break.' During the break, without even letting me say goodbye, they politely kicked me out. I have never seen such treatment in my life. There is no such thing as broadcasting etiquette. From now on, I will not appear on any live broadcast of Sözcü TV, nor will I give any interviews! I love TV100."
