CHP Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan referred to the courthouse
A total of 13 suspects, including Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who were detained as part of an investigation into 'extortion by duress' conducted in Bolu, have been referred to the courthouse following the completion of gendarmerie procedures.
A significant development has occurred in the 'extortion by duress' case initiated by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams in Bolu on February 28. Among those detained during the investigation process, in addition to Mayor Tanju Özcan, are Deputy Mayor Süleyman Can, Financial Services Manager Naim Ayhan, Bolsev Foundation Board Chairman Ali Sarıyıldız, former Bel A.Ş. Board Chairman Ergün Temel, council members Mehmet Ağan, Buse Özkan, Sinan Pekcan, and Cahit Görüş, former Acting Police Chief Hakan Yılmaz, Correspondence Affairs Manager Tahsin Arslan, Acting Zoning and Urban Planning Manager Yasin Bargaç, and Committee Chairman Hüseyin Ekrem Serin.
The 13 detained individuals were brought to the Bolu Courthouse after the completion of procedures at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command. It was reported that the statements of the 13 people, who were referred to the courthouse at the end of a detention period lasting approximately two days, will be taken.
