CHP Bursa Provincial Chair dismissed, Turgut Özkan appointed as successor
In the Republican People's Party (CHP), Bursa Provincial Chair Nihat Yeşiltaş has been referred to the High Disciplinary Board by the party leadership. Following the dismissal of Nihat Yeşiltaş and the provincial administration, former chair Turgut Özkan has been appointed to the position.
In line with a decision taken amidst discussions of "absolute nullity" within the party, the term of the Bursa Provincial Administration has been terminated.
The statement issued noted that the organizational structure was reorganized following the dissolution of the current administration.
In this context, it was stated that a disciplinary process has been initiated against Provincial Chair Nihat Yeşiltaş and that the process will be conducted with precautionary measures.
With the decision taken, former provincial chair Turgut Özkan has been brought to the position of Bursa Provincial Chair.
While a new era begins in the provincial organization with the appointment of Özkan, it was noted that the process was shaped in accordance with internal party evaluations.
