Özel evaluated the verdict in the case regarding the death of 51 people in the Furkan Apartment, which collapsed during the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes in the Nizip district of Gaziantep, on his social media account.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated, "The acquittal of 3 defendants in the Furkan Apartment case in Gaziantep, where 51 people lost their lives, has deeply saddened us all. We will continue to stand by the families and demand justice in the Furkan Apartment case and all other earthquake cases until justice is served."
