CHP Chairman Özel reveals how many points his party is ahead in the polls

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel stated that their membership numbers have increased since the last elections, saying, “We are registering 10 thousand members every week.

8 thousand of these are young members. This party has been the reason why young people, 3 out of every 4 of whom said they wanted to go abroad and had lost hope in this country until the March 31 elections, decided to wait for one more election,” he said.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who came to Bursa for a series of programs, attended a membership participation ceremony at the CHP Yıldırım District Headquarters. Speaking at the ceremony, Özel said, “The Republican People's Party family is growing rapidly. I said this from the podium on election night, I said, ‘That 25 percent ceiling has now been broken. The obstacles in front of the Republican People's Party have been removed. From now on, we will continue to grow rapidly and strengthen rapidly.’”

Today, 600 people ran to the father's house in Yıldırım. No one asked why you didn't come before, no one asked why you left,” he said.

"WE ARE 4.5 POINTS AHEAD IN THE LOWEST POLL"

Stating that they emerged from the elections as the leading party and are 4.5 points ahead in the polls, Özel said, “The good news I will give you is that we are registering 10 thousand members every week. 8 thousand of these are young members. We were the leading party with a 1.8 point margin. It rose above 2 in April, became 3.5 points in May, and 4.5 points in June. Yesterday and today, 3 major polling companies announced their July polls; we are 4.5 points ahead in the lowest one. We are 5.5 points ahead in another. We are 8 points ahead in another.

We will not lie awake at night wondering what will happen tomorrow. We will guarantee the election years in advance. The way to do this is for each of us to have this belief. We must strengthen the brotherhood among us, narrow the distances, stand shoulder to shoulder, link arms, and work tirelessly together for the success of the party. We are not in a period to be sacrificed for resentments, grievances, anger, or personal expectations,” he stated.

“WHOEVER WINS BURSA BECOMES THE LEADING PARTY"

Saying that they won Bursa in the local elections and that they will come to power by winning Yıldırım in the next elections, Özel said, “Look, we took Bursa after 47 years. After 47 years, the party became the leading party again.

When Bülent Ecevit won Bursa 47 years ago, he also made his party the leading party in Turkey. We had not been able to be the leading party since that day. Whoever wins Bursa becomes the leading party. Whoever wins Yıldırım comes to power.

We will win Yıldırım, we will come to power. I believe in our organization, I trust it. I believe that together with our deputies and party members, we will all win this great victory and make us smile again,” he said.
