CHP Chairman Özgür Özel expected to announce new party members in Bakırköy: Rızvanoğlu and Avşar to join CHP

Istanbul MP Evrim Rızvanoğlu and Tekirdağ MP Cem Avşar decided to join the CHP after resigning from the DEVA Party on June 27.

Journalist Hilal Köylü reported that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is expected to announce these transitions at the Bakırköy rally on Wednesday.

While there was curiosity about when the MPs, whose participation in the CHP was already known, would be announced by the CHP, journalist Hilal Köylü shared a flash piece of inside information on the subject.

In a post on her social media account, Köylü announced that the two MPs would be introduced by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the "Standing Up for the National Will" rally to be held in Bakırköy on Wednesday.

Reminding that the two MPs had become independent after resigning from their party, Köylü used the following expressions in her post:

"Evrim Rızvanoğlu and Cem Avşar, both names are expected to join the CHP in the coming days. Rızvanoğlu will be introduced to the public by Özgür Özel there for the rally in Bakırköy on Wednesday... Group meetings can no longer be held in Parliament. There is such an expectation. Cem Avşar will also join there.

They had entered Parliament from the CHP lists with 15 MPs from the DEVA Party to date. Six MPs resigned. Selma Aliye Kavaf and Seda Kaya Özer. Two names who resigned from there joined the CHP. Two names had remained independent; two more people are moving from the independents. Four DEVA MPs are joining the CHP.
