CHP İzmir Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç has issued a statement regarding reports that appeared on a news website claiming she had 'passed away'.
A news report claiming that CHP İzmir Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç had passed away was published on a news website. The report on the Afyon-based Egeilkhaber.com also included a fake statement attributed to CHP Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel.
CHP's Kılıç denied the news of her own death in a statement on her social media account.
In her message, Sevda Erdan Kılıç stated, "It turns out reading my own obituary is quite a privilege! Don't worry, I am at my post."
CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel said, "I think someone played a bad joke. May God grant you a long life. We still have a long way to walk together. We have a debt to our nation and our country."
Following Kılıç's statement, it was observed that the report had been removed from the site.
