CHP figures react to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's 'party congress' statement: 'Complete insincerity'

CHP Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan pointed out that Kılıçdaroğlu did not provide a clear date for the congress.

Speaking on the Rota program on Halk TV, Tezcan said, "We need a congress with a set date. An extraordinary congress must be held before July 26."

CHP Aydın Deputy Süleyman Bülbül, noting that Kılıçdaroğlu is trying to prolong the process, said, "Starting the congress process from the local delegate elections is an attempt to reduce reactions and stall for time!"

In a statement on his social media account, Bülbül expressed the following:

"Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who came to power through absolute nullity after rejecting the request for a congress by over 1,000 congress delegates within 45 days as verified by a notary, and who claimed that the court's injunction prevented a congress—what has changed now that he is suddenly going to start the congress process! This is complete insincerity!

Starting the congress process from the local delegate elections is an attempt to reduce reactions and stall for time! It is mocking the intelligence of the congress delegates!

Article 36/3 of the Law on Political Parties is clear. Since two congresses have not been held within a 6-year period following the 37th Ordinary Congress dated July 26, 2020 (as the 38th Ordinary Congress, the 21st and 22nd Extraordinary congresses, and the 39th Ordinary Congress were unlawfully cancelled by the court), the CHP will lose its right to participate in elections.

This is a clear provision of the law! A congress must be held by July 26, 2026.

The injunction is not an obstacle to this. Spreading the congress process out over time is a reflection of the will of the palace!

Those who rely on absolute nullity and avoid holding an immediate congress will be held responsible before history! The CHP cannot be at the mercy of the decisions made by the Palace judiciary!"
