CHP Group Deputy Chair Başarır's 'it will be a difficult day' reaction to Akın Gürlek: 'We shook hands with Gürlek'
CHP Group Deputy Chair Ali Mahir Başarır stated that before the brawl in Parliament, the group deputy chairs of all parties were called to a meeting, and when they arrived, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek was also in the room. Başarır said he shook hands with Gürlek and told him, "It will be a difficult day for you."
By presidential decree, The Minister of Justice was appointed, and Mustafa Çiftçi was appointed as Minister of Interior.
The two new ministers took their oaths in the Parliamentary General Assembly. Before the ministers' swearing-in ceremony, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly became chaotic.

Connecting to a live broadcast on CNN Türk by phone, Başarır said that before the swearing-in ceremony, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Bekir Bozdağ had called the group deputy chairs of all parties to a meeting.

Stating that when they entered the room, Minister of Justice Gürlek and Minister of Interior Çiftçi were also there, Başarır noted that they greeted each other by shaking hands with Gürlek. Başarır used the expression, "I told Gürlek, 'It will be a difficult day for you.'"
