CHP's Günaydın reacts to Adnan Beker: It is not something I can accept or forgive

Ankara MP Adnan Beker, who became a subject of public debate after resigning from the IYI Party and stating, "I voted for Mr. Tayyip on May 28. Was there any other candidate?", joined the CHP today during the party's parliamentary group meeting, where CHP leader Özgür Özel pinned the party badge on him.

However, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın reacted to the situation by recalling Beker's words about voting for "Mr. Tayyip on May 28."

Speaking on a Halk TV broadcast, Günaydın recalled the Table of Six and said the following:

"I am a group deputy chairman. This issue was discussed in the CHP's Central Executive Board (MYK). I could not attend the last MYK meeting...

You are a member of one of the parties we worked with to support Mr. Kemal, and you do not vote for him. And furthermore, you can boast about not voting for him.

This is not something I can accept. It is not something I can forgive either.

This is my personal position. I will state this.

But my party has made a decision. The MYK has made a decision. I do not know what was discussed or debated there. We all abide by the party's decision.

But personally, I will continue to maintain such a distance in politics and toward the ethical codes of politics for the rest of my life."
