In a statement on his social media account, Güç announced that the Facebook page used by the CHP İzmir Provincial Branch had been taken from their management through an intervention outside of their knowledge.
In his statement, Çağatay Güç included the following remarks: "It is respectfully submitted to the public and the press; the Facebook page used by our CHP İzmir Provincial Branch has been taken from our management through an intervention that was not within our knowledge.
Announcements and posts made from the aforementioned page are outside of our institutional legitimacy and the will formed by the votes of our delegates."
