CHP Leader Özel's jab: 'They misled Mr. Bahçeli too' — 'Like a blank napkin...'
As CHP rallies continue at a rapid pace, Özgür Özel addressed citizens in Kağıthane this time. In his remarks there, Özel said MHP leader Bahçeli had been misled regarding the live broadcast of the İBB trial.
CHP Leader Özgür Özel continues to renew his calls at rallies for the İBB trial to be broadcast live on TRT. Özel made a similar call at his rally in Kağıthane as well.
Özel also pointed in his remarks to MHP leader Bahçeli, who initially said the trial should be broadcast live but later walked back that statement.
Özel, who said the indictment came up empty and recalled that secret witnesses had been withdrawing their testimonies one by one, made the following remarks regarding Devlet Bahçeli:
"They misled Mr. Bahçeli too, in due time — he thought there was a solid indictment and proven crimes, so he said let the hearing be broadcast live.
The indictment came out like a blank napkin, and now when we say broadcast it live, they vote against it."
