In his speech at his party's 39th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Kastamonu, Özel reacted to President Erdoğan, saying, "He went to America and sat at Trump's feet. As I said before, he bought the Boeings, he bought the expensive safe. Finally, he turned the rare earth elements in Eskişehir into a bargaining chip. He will hand over the rare earth elements to Trump by the sackful, by the truckload."
CHP Leader Özgür Özel spoke at the CHP Kastamonu 39th Ordinary Provincial Congress. In his speech, Özel said the following:
He went to America and sat at Trump's feet. As I said before, he bought the Boeings, he bought the expensive safe. He lowered taxes on American goods and raised taxes on Chinese goods.
Finally, he turned the rare earth elements in Eskişehir into a bargaining chip. He will hand over the rare earth elements to Trump by the sackful, by the truckload. They will refine them, extract the rare earth elements from them, and use them in high technology.
He will sell the soil he bought for 1 lira as a mobile phone for 1000 lira. And by promising this, he will trade Turkey's future for his own political future with Trump.
That is why we signed a document in Parliament today to prevent this. We say: Turkey must extract and process its rare earth elements only and exclusively by itself. The export of these to foreign countries must be banned. I challenge you, Erdoğan, I challenge you!"
