CHP members had resigned: Decision on substitute members for Manavgat Municipality

The CHP substitute members to be appointed to the vacant council seats in Manavgat Municipality have been finalized.

Following the resignations that occurred after some council members were arrested due to a 'bribery' investigation at the municipality, the matter was taken to the Supreme Election Council (YSK) and a legal process was initiated. Upon the appeals, the YSK decided, in line with the relevant legislation, that substitute members should be appointed to replace the resigned council members without delay.

Following this decision, the Manavgat District Election Board officially notified the Manavgat Mayor's Office of the names on the CHP's substitute list to fill the vacancies in the council.

In the letter sent by the District Election Board, it was stated that "it has been determined that Mustafa Emek, who was elected as the 3rd substitute member for the CHP in the March 31, 2024 local elections, Özgün Göllü as the 4th substitute, Selma Bülbül as the 5th substitute, and Adil Baybuğ as the 6th substitute, must be appointed to the Manavgat Municipal Council."
