CHP Tokat MP Kadim Durmaz, known for his support of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu—who was brought to the chairmanship "as a precaution" following a "null and void" decision within the Republican People's Party (CHP)—faced a harsh reaction from citizens at CHP leader Özgür Özel's rally in the town of Çevrecik, Tokat. Following the protests, Durmaz boarded Özel's official vehicle.

It was stated that following the protests, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel invited Kadim Durmaz into his official vehicle.
Durmaz was taken into Özel's official vehicle and removed from the area.
Along with Durmaz, 5 people boarded the 4-person official vehicle.
