CHP's Sarı reacts to Minister Tekin: Look for savings in the Palace

CHP Balıkesir MP Serkan Sarı criticized the Ministry of National Education's circular banning graduation ceremonies and proms from being held outside of schools at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Sarı said, "I call on Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, who is trying to take away the joy of our children, to immediately withdraw the graduation circular."

What is the real purpose of seeking savings in our children's graduation ceremonies rather than in the Palace? This circular is nothing more than your restrictive mentality. A restrictive approach that will hinder the enthusiasm, excitement, and celebrations of our children and youth on their special days is contrary to the spirit of education.

"IMMEDIATELY ABANDON YOUR RESTRICTIVE CIRCULAR"

Your bans have made life difficult for our nation. The poverty you have created has left our nation in misery. Turkey is not losing its reputation, but rather losing out due to the waste you have architected. As you keep saying 'reputation,' the nation has fallen into poverty and exhaustion, just as Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk warned; is it now our children's turn? Your so-called austerity approach, which targets the nation's bread, food, and jobs, is now placing obstacles in the way of our children's graduation ceremonies. Do not destroy our children's joy; immediately abandon your restrictive, so-called austerity circular.
