CHP's Murat Bakan reacts to EGM's promotion agreement: 'Left without support'
CHP Deputy Chairman Murat Bakan has reacted to the General Directorate of Security's (EGM) bank promotion agreement covering the years 2025-2028.
In his statement, the CHP's Bakan said that the Police Organization, which has 350 thousand personnel, has been "disappointed once again" with a promotion of 100 thousand liras per person.
In a statement on his social media account, Murat Bakan said, "The Police Organization has been disappointed once again, left without support once again.
How can it be explained that a municipality with 300 employees receives 96 thousand TL, while an organization of 350 thousand people receives a promotion of 100 thousand TL?
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, this is a matter you must personally attend to; it cannot be left solely to a commission!
Will this money be a remedy for the police's troubles or a balm for their wounds?
There is no need to beat around the bush. Ali Yerlikaya has not used his own position or power in this matter; he has failed to look after his own personnel."
