Pervin Buldan, a member of the DEM Party Imralı Delegation, had stated that members of the commission were planned to visit Imralı, saying, "A 5-person delegation consisting of representatives from parties with parliamentary groups is planned to go. This is the information given to us." A denial of Buldan's remarks came from CHP's Emir.
CHP Group Deputy Chairman and member of the process commission, Murat Emir, has denied claims that the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, which is conducting its work in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), would visit Imralı.
Pervin Buldan, a member of the DEM Party Imralı Delegation, had stated that members of the commission were planned to visit Imralı, saying, "A 5-person delegation consisting of representatives from parties with parliamentary groups is planned to go. This is the information given to us."
"IT IS OUT OF THE QUESTION"
CHP Group Deputy Chairman and party commission member Emir denied the claims that the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission would visit Imralı.
"There has been no agenda regarding the commission visiting Imralı. No agreement or discussion is out of the question. In none of our previous commission meetings or in the meetings we held as Group Deputy Chairmen under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Parliament to prepare for commission meetings was a visit to Imralı placed on the agenda. The Speaker of the Parliament did not feel the need to seek any opinion on this matter. Visiting Imralı is not on the commission's agenda. And no such discussion has taken place. Such an agreement is in no way out of the question."
