CHP official documents 541% increase in AKP incentive amount: 'This is called a wealth transfer'

Yavuzyılmaz shared documents showing that the AKP paid 386 million liras in incentives to the Bolu Göynük Thermal Power Plant, owned by Kazancı Holding, in 2024.

CHP Deputy Chairman Yavuzyılmaz noted the following in a statement on his social media account:

"While the AK Party is attempting to privatize the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant, which is currently operated by the state with high profits, by selling its assets on one hand, it is planning to give the revenue it will generate from this to private electricity generation companies and thermal power plants as incentives on the other.

"THIS IS CALLED ROBBERY"

We have identified the massive incentive payment the AK Party made to the Bolu Göynük Thermal Power Plant, owned by Kazancı Holding. The capacity mechanism incentive amount paid to the company in 2024 was 386 million liras. This amount was 60 million liras in 2023. The increase rate in the incentive paid compared to the previous year is 541 percent. This is called robbery.

The raise the AK Party gave to civil servants and civil servant retirees in 2025 is only 15.54 percent. The raise it gave to SGK and BAĞ-KUR retirees is only 15 percent. The raise it gave to minimum wage earners is only 30 percent. On the other hand, the increase rate in the incentive amount it paid to Kazancı Holding for the Bolu Göynük Thermal Power Plant is 541 percent. This is called a wealth transfer."
