CHP opens 'Presidential Candidate Office' account for Ekrem İmamoğlu

An access ban has been imposed on the X account of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and sent to prison as part of an investigation launched against him. 

Following the restriction of access in Turkey, the CHP took action and opened a "Presidential Candidate Office" account for Ekrem İmamoğlu on X. 

In the post conveying İmamoğlu's message, the following statements were included:

"Every time I came to Van, my fellow citizens of Van welcomed me with tremendous affection and love. Loud voices have always risen from Van against injustices, lawlessness, and the appointment of trustees. Now, I invite all my fellow citizens of Van to the meeting that our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, will attend against the blow dealt to the national will. I will watch your meeting from Silivri Prison and will be with you with all my feelings of brotherhood. Saturday, May 10, 12:00, Van City Square"

On the other hand, it was learned that Presidential Offices will be established in Ankara and Istanbul for İmamoğlu's candidacy campaign process. In these offices, the CHP's government program in many areas from economy to health, and from justice to education, will be shaped and explained upon İmamoğlu's election as president.
