CHP's rally move to AKP strongholds: The next address has been determined

The "Protecting the National Will" rallies organized by the Republican People's Party (CHP) with the demand for freedom for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and early elections continue.

While the rally in Yozgat, known as an AKP stronghold, remains on the agenda, the CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) met under the chairmanship of Chairman Özgür Özel following the historic rally.

According to the report by Mahir Bağış from Nefes, the highly attended Yozgat rally and the strategies for the new period were once again discussed at the meeting. Expressing his satisfaction with the enthusiastic crowd in Yozgat to his staff, Özel gave a message of determination by saying, "There is no stepping back, we will continue the struggle with determination."

The judicial process that began on March 19 against Ekrem İmamoğlu and his colleagues was also addressed at the MYK meeting. The CHP defined this process as a "judicial coup" and decided to continue its action plans against it. In this direction, on April 23, CHP leader Özel will address the public at the First Parliament. Party staff stated that Özel will particularly emphasize the issues of "national sovereignty, national will, and justice" in his speech.

THE NEXT ADDRESS IS KONYA

According to the information obtained, after the meeting to be held in Ankara on April 23, a major rally will be held in Mersin on April 26. Immediately after, on May 3, the CHP will meet with the public in Konya. It was learned that Özel attaches special importance to the Konya rally, which is seen as one of the "AKP's strongholds." In addition, public meetings held in different districts of Istanbul every Wednesday will continue without interruption.

The rallies will primarily emphasize the "national will." The damage caused to Turkey by the events in the process that began on March 19 and is called a "judicial coup" will be explained directly to the citizens.

SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN WILL CONTINUE AT A HIGH TEMPO

The CHP will continue its signature campaign, which it started with demands for freedom for İmamoğlu and early elections, without slowing down. During this process, social media promotions for the campaign will be increased. The campaign will be concluded when the targeted 28 million signatures are reached.

DECISION NOT TO ATTEND THE RECEPTION

Özgür Özel will not attend the reception to be held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. It was stated that Özel took this decision to protest the injustices against İmamoğlu and other mayors. However, Özel will deliver a 10-minute speech at the special April 23 session to be held in the TBMM General Assembly.
