CHP's 74 provincial chairs issue sharp response to 'absolute nullity' administration: We are not afraid, we are not discouraged, we do not bow down
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP chairmanship following a court ruling of 'absolute nullity,' had initiated a purification process shortly thereafter and pressed the button for expulsions from the party. While the tense atmosphere drew criticism, a protest declaration against the 'absolute nullity' administration came from 74 of the CHP's provincial chairs.
A joint declaration was issued by 74 CHP provincial chairs and organization representatives from 81 provinces under the signature of "Elected Provincial Chairs and Elected Provincial Organizations."
The joint declaration addressed Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his administration, who were brought to the head of the party with the "absolute nullity" ruling. The 6-sentence declaration stated, "We do not recognize your dismissals or your expulsions. We are not afraid, we are not discouraged, we do not bow down. We demand an extraordinary congress."
"WE ARE NOT AFRAID, WE ARE NOT DISCOURAGED, WE DO NOT BOW DOWN"
The short declaration by the 74 provincial chairs, who were brought to office by delegates before the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress and include those dismissed by the CHP administration that took office via the court ruling, stated the following:
"We do not recognize your dismissals or your expulsions.
We are not afraid, we are not discouraged, we do not bow down. We demand an extraordinary congress.
You will not be able to take over our solidarity and our determination.
The CHP organization is invincible. The CHP organization does not forget."
