CHP's Uzun criticizes Minister Fidan over 'intelligence genius' claim: 'This is an admission of weakness'

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made statements regarding the current agenda during a program he attended.

Evaluating the expected dissolution statement from the PKK following the congress they held, another statement by Fidan that left its mark on the night was his claim that he was the target of an assassination attempt 5 years ago.

In his statement, Fidan said, "We were physically subjected to an assassination attempt; we were poisoned and received treatment.

Apart from that, we are constantly subjected to character assassination, but this is part of the fight.

I haven't said this before. I was given heavy arsenic and mercury. It happened somewhere, and it was later revealed in tests. It has been 4-5 years. I received treatment for a while because of this."

STRIKING CRITICISM FROM CHP'S UZUN

While Minister Fidan's assassination claim left its mark on the night, a striking criticism came from CHP İzmir MP Salih Uzun. Reminding that Fidan was the head of the MİT at the time he was allegedly targeted, Uzun stated the following:

"They are polishing this person as an intelligence and diplomacy genius.

He was the target of an assassination attempt 5 years ago while he was the head of the MİT. They poisoned him.

OUR INTELLIGENCE COULD NOT PROTECT ITS OWN CHIEF.

Would an INTELLIGENCE GENIUS make such a statement, which is an admission of weakness in terms of state reputation?"
