CHP's Zeybek criticizes Anadolu Agency's 'cemetery price hike' report: You have turned into a propaganda bulletin
CHP Deputy Chairman Gökan Zeybek reacted to the report circulated by Anadolu Agency claiming a '200 percent hike for cemeteries in Istanbul'.
While the report in question was denied by the IMM, Zeybek wrote the following:
"We INVESTIGATED the report you circulated regarding cemeteryfees, and it is not as youconveyed the FACTS, Anadolu Agency, so you have FAILED AGAIN!This NATION is NOT BUYING these tricks!

Thetruth is clear:
2025 burial fees fee is 272 TL.
The new feeproposed forthe year 2026 is 408 TL.
Furthermore, not a single penny of burden is placed on the shoulders of our citizenswho cannot afford it.
Populistand our public-oriented municipalities, as a requirement of social municipalism, do not charge burial fees to our citizens in needin needand carry out the entire process free of charge. You have turned into a propaganda bulletin.
