CHP issues statement on 'total confidentiality' regarding the reconciliation commission
Speaking on the decision for "total confidentiality" at the meeting of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established as part of the new reconciliation process, CHP Ankara MP Umut Akdoğan stated, "There is no general decision for total confidentiality in the parliamentary commission. The process will continue to move forward transparently. Only the MIT and Ministry presentations made yesterday were placed under confidentiality."
A decision for "total confidentiality" was reached by unanimous vote at the second meeting of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, which was formed as part of the new reconciliation process dubbed "Terror-Free Turkey," where Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) President İbrahim Kalın gave presentations.
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş announced that information regarding the meeting could not be leaked and that the minutes would be kept inaccessible for 10 years. Following the second session, which lasted approximately 5 hours, the commission will hold its third meeting on Tuesday, August 12, at 14:00 in the TBMM Ceremonial Hall.
CHP-appointed Ankara MP Umut Akdoğan, who filled the position left vacant due to the IYI Party's absence from the commission, made assessments via social media. Emphasizing that the "total confidentiality" decision was specific only to the second meeting, Akdoğan made the following statements:
"We will talk tonight, but before that, I must say that;
1- No decision for total confidentiality was taken in the parliamentary commission. The process will continue to move forward transparently.
2- A confidentiality decision was taken only for the MIT and Ministry presentations made yesterday. In other words, it is a decision for a few hours. Is it normal to expect an intelligence agency presentation to be public?
3- We said that if the CHP is there, there will be no secrecy. There won't be. However, such a decision can be taken for a special presentation by MIT.
If there is anything here that is not in the public interest, the CHP will not remain silent. We are there for that. Patience is required for salvation. Sharp vinegar harms its own container."

Bu akşam konuşacağız ancak öncesinde söylemem gerekir ki;
