CHP statement on the commission: All our requests were accepted
The first meeting of the process commission has concluded, and following the meeting, a statement was made from the CHP side that 'all our requests were accepted.'
The first meeting of the process commission, named the National Brotherhood and Democracy Commission by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), has concluded. The meeting lasted approximately 8 hours. It was stated that the second meeting in Parliament will be held on Friday at 14:00.
Procedures and principles were discussed during the meeting.
CHP: ALL OUR REQUESTS WERE ACCEPTED
CHP Deputy Chairman Murat Bakan stated that all their requests were accepted. It was decided that the decision-making mechanism in the commission would require a three-fifths majority of the total number of members.
"Discussions took place regarding a draft text on the procedural principles of a work schedule prepared by the Speaker of the Parliament. The opposition had criticisms regarding this draft text."
