On April 23, the CHP will hold a 'National Sovereignty March' in Istanbul, starting from in front of the Şişli Atatürk House and ending at Beşiktaş Dolmabahçe.
On April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the CHP will be in Şişli, where a trustee has been appointed to the municipality.
The 'National Sovereignty March,' announced with posters and visuals featuring our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's words, "Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation," will begin at 19:30 in front of the Atatürk House (Museum) on Halaskargazi Street in Şişli. The march will conclude at Beşiktaş Dolmabahçe.
Şişli's elected Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, who was arrested following the March 19 operation and is currently in Silivri Prison, and whose position has been filled by a trustee, stated in a post on his X account: "Against those who attempted the March 19 coup, against trustees, and against those trying to suspend democracy, we will keep alive the national struggle journey that our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk started from Şişli 105 years ago with the same determination, and we will say, 'Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation!' I invite all our citizens to meet at the National Sovereignty March with our glorious flag."
