Following the appointment of a trustee to the CHP-run Ovacık Municipality, reactions from CHP figures to the decision have been pouring in. CHP Chairman Özel was the first to express a harsh reaction.

Another reaction to the trustee decision came from CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yücel. Yücel shared the following statements on his social media account:

"Minister of Trustee Affairs Ali Yerlikaya has appointed trustees to the Tunceli and Ovacık municipalities despite there being no final judicial ruling.

The Minister of Justice is giving instructions to the judiciary, and the Minister of Interior is removing elected officials from office and replacing them with trustees.

The public will remove you from office in the first election, and you will be held accountable for these actions before the law!

If you are usurping the will of the people by appointing trustees to the Esenyurt, Mardin, Batman, Halfeti, Tunceli, and Ovacık municipalities, you cannot talk about an 'internal front' or democracy.
