CHP's Yavuzyılmaz calls on Akın Gürlek regarding 'Eti Maden': Let him come and present his defense

CHP's Yavuzyılmaz calls on Akın Gürlek regarding 'Eti Maden': Let him come and present his defense

Yavuzyılmaz made the following statements in a post on his social media account:

"It has emerged that Akın Gürlek was on the board of directors of Etimine SA, a Luxembourg-based foreign company of Eti Maden Operations. The audit of Eti Maden Operations is conducted by the TBMM KİT Commission!

I am speaking as the KİT Commission Spokesperson for the Republican People's Party. I am announcing it here! In February 2026, a KİT Subcommittee meeting will be held to audit the 2023 and 2024 accounts and activities of Eti Maden Operations and all its domestic and foreign companies.

Since Akın Gürlek served as a board member during the years subject to this audit, and since everything that happens is normal according to the AKP, then Akın Gürlek should come to the audit meeting and present his defense to the Commission. He should not run away from parliamentary oversight!

Even if he says he has left the post, Akın Gürlek's responsibility regarding the period he served continues.

Because that period has not yet been audited and has not been cleared. We will certainly hold them accountable on behalf of the nation for this illegal appointment and the irregular business and transactions at Eti Maden."
