Christmas message from President Erdoğan

Stating that it is of great importance to them that all citizens can freely live out their own cultures, religions, and traditions, President Erdoğan noted the following:

"On the occasion of Christmas, I congratulate our citizens who belong to the Christian faith with my most sincere feelings. We show maximum care today, as we have throughout the history of our civilization, to ensure that no discrimination is made among our people based on origin, race, language, religion, or sect.

It is of great importance to us that all our citizens can freely live out their own cultures, religions, and traditions. It is as a result of the implementation of these values that our geography has long been a protective roof and a safe harbor for everyone fleeing conflict, war, persecution, and oppression.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD OUR FUTURE TOGETHER

In the midst of regional conflicts and instability, our country is a place where all its citizens, regardless of their religion, belief, ethnic origin, or sect, live in peace, tranquility, and security, confident in their future. Just as we do today, we will continue to view the diversity in our country as a richness and to build our future together in the spirit of mutual respect in the future as well. I once again congratulate our Christian citizens, in particular, and the entire Christian world on Christmas, and I wish them peace, happiness, and well-being."
