CİMER's 'Year of the Family' survey omits violence against women, includes 'fight against LGBT'

Practices carried out within the scope of the "Year of the Family" declared by President Erdoğan continue to target the LGBTI+ community and women. The "Year of the Family Survey," encountered after making applications through CİMER, includes questions such as the role of the family in protecting social values.

In the survey, the option "fighting against LGBT" is included among the responses to the question, "In your opinion, what is the primary public policy that should be implemented to protect the family?" Other options are listed as "encouraging marriage," "increasing birth subsidies," and "expanding family counseling services." However, the option for combating violence against women is not included in the survey.

Furthermore, the phrase "Global gender-neutralization activities" stands out among the answers to the question, "In your opinion, what harms the institution of the family the most?" This situation is drawing criticism for the survey's targeting of LGBTI+ individuals.
