Citizen dies after being electrocuted in Adıyaman
A 43-year-old citizen lost his life after being electrocuted while working in Adıyaman.
43-year-old Abdurrahman Atlı lost his life after being electrocuted while working in Adıyaman.
The incident occurred at a house on 2857 Street in the central Karapınar neighborhood.
According to allegations, Abdurrahman Atlı, who was painting the roof of his neighbor's single-story house, was electrocuted when his paintbrush made contact with a high-voltage power line passing over the house.
Citizens who noticed the situation informed the 112 Emergency Call Center. While teams were being dispatched, citizens poured soil they brought in buckets onto the feet of Abdurrahman Atlı, who was lying motionless on the roof.
Health teams arriving at the scene determined that Abdurrahman Atlı had passed away. Following investigations at the scene, the lifeless body of Abdurrahman Atlı was taken to the Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital morgue.
CLAIMS OF SIMILAR INCIDENTS OCCURRING
On the other hand, it was alleged that similar incidents resulting in injuries and deaths had occurred previously due to the high-voltage power line passing over the houses in the area. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
