Claim by Israeli officials: Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei killed

According to a report by Israel's Channel 12 television, one of the targets of the attacks was Khamenei, and assessments regarding the results of the operation were described as "successful."

ARAGHCHI: AS FAR AS I KNOW, KHAMENEI IS ALIVE

Speaking to NBC News, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated, "We may have lost some of our commanders, but this is not a major problem."

In his message to US President Donald Trump, Araghchi said, "Regime change in Iran is impossible."

Stating, "We do not need anyone for defense. We have the capability to defend ourselves," Araghchi noted that the attacks they carried out against US bases in the region were for self-defense purposes.

Abbas Araghchi indicated that there is a possibility of an agreement that would guarantee their country's peaceful nuclear rights, while noting that there is no contact with the US side.

Araghchi also said, "All high-level officials are alive. As far as I know, Ali Khamenei is also alive."

Information was shared that top-level Iranian officials, primarily Supreme Leader Khamenei and President Pezeshkian, are safe.

"KHAMENEI KILLED" CLAIM

A high-level Israeli official speaking to the channel stated that if any footage or statement were to emerge indicating that Khamenei is alive, it would be a surprise to them.

The same official stated that according to current assessments, the Iranian leader may have lost his life, but final confirmation has not yet been received.

HIGH-LEVEL OFFICIALS HAD BEEN TARGETED

The Israeli military had previously announced in a statement that simultaneous attacks were carried out in the Iranian capital, Tehran, targeting high-level political and military figures. While details regarding the scope of the operations and the target list were not shared, no official statement has been made by Iranian authorities regarding Khamenei's status.

As tensions in the region have escalated in recent weeks, the claim in question is being closely monitored by the international community. All eyes are now on confirmation from Tehran and independent sources.
